Electric Power
Electric power is distributed in all five cities by the Weakley County Municipal Electric System. The power is purchased from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and is delivered to the Weakley County system through seven substations. The system has a total capacity of 150,000 kW and can be delivered at voltages of up to 161 kV.
Electric power is also distributed in the rural areas of Weakley County by the Weakley County Municipal Electric System. TVA is a wholesale supplier of electric power to Weakley County Municipal Electric System.

Natural Gas
Natural gas is distributed in Dresden, Gleason, Greenfield, and Sharon by the West Tennessee Public Utilities District. The system is supplied by Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company through 8″, 6″, and 4″ supply lines.

Natural gas is distributed in Martin by the City of Martin. The system is supplied by Texas Gas Transmission Corporation through a 4″, 800 P.S.I. supply line. There are two 26″ and one 30″ transmission lines maintained by Texas Gas Transmission Corporation which are five miles west of the city. The average heat content in 1040 BTU per cubic foot.

Each individual city in Weakley County has their own water supply which is as follows:

Dresden

Gleason

Greenfield

Capacity: 1,000,000 GPD
Current Consumption: 400,000 GPD
Storage Capacity: 425,000 Gallons


Martin

Capacity: 3,000,000 GPD
Current Consumption: 400,000 GPD
Storage Capacity: 1,975,000 Gallons


Sharon
