Weakley County has a school system that is governed by a 10-member school board (elected by the district) and an appointed director of schools.
Approximately 12,000 students are served by 11 schools:

Dresden Elementary (grades K-4)
Dresden Middle School (grades 5-8)

Weakley County Center For Adult And Continuing Education
Provides adult education to all residents. GED, Family First, Adult High School, and literacy classes.
In addition, the Center provides classes for Welding Technology offered by TCAT, McKenzie, TN.
