Governor's Three Star Award Designation
Weakley County is proud to have received the Governor's Three-Star designation for 12 straight years!
Tennessee's Three-Star progam is designed to help communities take full advantage of economic development opportunities. The goals are to preserve existing employment, create new employment opportunities, increase Tennessee family incomes, improve quality of life and create a strong leadership base.

To achieve Three-Star certification, communities must complete a formal review and evaluation process conducted by the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. The process is very long and extensively detailed.
