Technical Schools
Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Paris, TN, offers any class that might fit the needs of industry or business. The center also offers a Flex program, which means that the employee can work so many hours in the day and also go to school. Classes are offered in the following areas: Auto Body Repair, Technology Foundations, Early Childhood Education, Computer Operations Technology, Cosmetology, Heavy Equipment Repair, Industrial Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, Practical Nursing, General Metals, Machine Tool Technology, Robotic Manufacturing Technology, Business Systems Technology and Surgical Technology. The center also offers night classes and off campus training.

Tennessee College of Applied Technology at McKenzie, TN, is one of forty-six institutions in the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) system. The Technology Center's mission is to be the premier provider for work force development throughout the State of Tennessee. The Center remains committed to the education of a non-racially identifiable student body and promotes diversity and access without regard to race, gender, religion, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status The TBR is the governing board for this system which is comprised of six universities, fourteen community colleges, and twenty-six technology centers. The TBR system enrolls more than 80 percent of all Tennessee students attending public institutions of higher education. The TTC at McKenzie serves, but is not limited to serving, citizens who live in Benton, Carroll, Gibson, Henry and Weakley counties.

The center offers ten full-time training programs including Automotive, Business Systems, Computer Operations, Drafting/CAD, Electronics, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration, Industrial Maintenance, Machine Tool, Practical Nursing, and Welding. The curriculum for all courses is designed to prepare the students to meet the requirements for employment in the field of their choice. Each occupational area is equipped with modern tools, machinery, and materials that provide realistic and practical training. TTC at McKenzie maintains contact with industry and business by various means, including Occupational Advisory Committees for all training programs.

Jackson State Community College - The Ned R. McWherter Center for Advanced Industrial Technologies. This is a state funded college, and it is their mission to provide services that are in the best interest of the individuals and businesses they serve.
