Local Schools
Weakley County has a school system that is governed by a 10-member school board (elected by the district) and an appointed director of schools.
Approximately 12,000 students are served by 11 schools:

Dresden Elementary (grades K-4)
Dresden Middle School (grades 5-8)
Dresden High School (grades 9-12)

Center For Adult And Continuing Education
Provides adult education to all residents. GED, Family First, Adult High School, and literacy classes.
In addition, the Center provides classes for a Licensed Practical Nurse Program, Certified Nursing Assistant training, Business Systems Technology Course, and Auto Mechanics.
